Sick Day

I was feeling fine when I went to bed last night, but I woke up this morning with a sore throat and congestion. I guess I caught something from the guy I was next to on the plane flying home a few days ago. Lucky for me, Dynasty came out with their “Care Package” gacha set at The Epiphany a couple of days ago. It looks great with the the Stationed in Soho set from Sayo at the same event. Seriously, though, this couldn’t have been better-timed to match what’s going on for me right now in my real life. It’s crazy how things work out like that sometimes!

After the Game

A friend of mine recently held a sportswear-themed event, which had me scrambling to figure out what to wear. I came up with this outfit, which I totally love. I must admit, I have a *bit* of a sportswear fetish, especially for American-style football players. Now that I’m back from my trip, I decided to throw together a locker room set and photograph this outfit. The shoulder pads are no longer available, but after I told the creator (who happens to be a friend of mine) that there really weren’t any good football pads out there, he’s going to put them back on his Marketplace store soon! There is also a much more adult version of this image, which can be seen on my Flickr stream! I’m pretty excited, because this is the first adult photograph that I’ve put out there for public viewing. take a peek and let me know what you think!

Tropical Winds

I’m currently a tropical paradise in Real Life, but when I saw this new shirt at The Men’s Department from Fabulous and Trendy, I knew I had to photograph it in a tropical locale in-world immediately. Unfortunately, that means the photo quality is a bit lower than usual, since I’m on my laptop. I also love these jeans, which are at the same event.

A Walk in the Woods

I’m headed out of town for about a week and a half so I probably won’t be able to post anything for a bit, but I just heard about this sim and absolutely had to take a photo there before I left. Netherfeild is a stunning sim that has so many places that are perfect for taking photos. While I take a little stroll through the woods, I hope all of you have a good few days! Watching and Waiting For You

I realized recently that it’s been almost 5 years since my last relationship in Second Life. It can definitely be a lonely world if you don’t have anyone to share it with. Originally, this photo had a rather different concept, but I couldn’t find the right pose or get the lighting the way I wanted it, so it ended up like this, on the upper floor front deck of my home, right outside of my bedroom.

Dark and Stormy Night

I got some pretty awful news tonight in my Real Life, so I decided to express myself through this photo. It’s a lot darker than I normally photograph, but it really fit my mood tonight. I took this on one of my favorite sims, Hades. It’s a gay cruising sim, but really has a gorgeous design that Pixel Sideways, the owner, has spent a lot of time perfecting. I came to a sad realization recently – I’ve been in Second Life for almost 12 years, but I have very few photos from that time. Sure, I have memories, but I can’t go back and look at a lot of the great moments. With that, I started posting photos to Flickr. Soon, friends were urging me to start blogging, and I got a few people asking me where I got things. So, here we are! I guess more accurately, here I am. For my first post, I’m in one of my favorite spots on the grid, taking a new profile photo to help symbolize this new start. I’m here, and I’m not going back.
