Lakeside Reflections

There’s so much great new stuff coming out lately for guys that I’ve been absolutely astounded. This look is pretty different for me, but I really like it. For me, what really brings the outfit together is this brand new hair from Drot, available at Men’s Only Monthly. This is the first time that Drot has released dreads, but I think they came out really well. My tank top is also from Men’s Only Monthly, and was created by N-Uno. I’m also wearing new items from .: RealEvil Industries :., not so bad, E-Clipse Design, [Bad Unicorn], and RK Poses from a few different events.

I took today’s photo on the Hades sim. I’ve taken one other photograph there before, but it’s been a while. Hades is a beautifully-designed sim created by Pixel Sideways that is a great spot for gay men to meet other gay men. There are so many great spots on the sim to take photographs, so I’m sure I’ll do more there soon.

Summer Starts Now

The official start to summer in the northern hemisphere isn’t for another month, but the round of Whimsical that opened today will make you feel like it’s already here! This great set from SAYO is at the event in a gacha machine, and looks like a perfect summertime reatreat. As you can see, I’ve also gone blonde for the first time in a long time! I used to be blonde, but switched to dark hair a few years ago. It’s been my goal the past couple of days to get a good blonde look put together, and this is the result.

The hair that I’m wearing is from *drot*, who I am now an official blogger for! It came out today at Whimsical, and I was able to tint it to match my hairbase really well. It also comes with a hair base, though, which is great if you don’t have one that will work with it.

Protect This Hill

As you can probably tell, gachas are a big weakness of mine. I’ve been trying to do better lately, but when I saw this incredible set from Gabriel at The Fantasy Gacha, I knew that I had to have all of it, but especially the black set (which, of course, includes the two rares). The rare Ares tattoo from Ghost’Ink at the same event compliments it perfectly, I think.

Perfectly Relaxing

I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for summer to get here. Thankfully, Trompe Loeil is helping is get ready early with this amazing new set that they released at FaMESHed, which opened yesterday. The set consists of two different types of chairs (one with a towel on it, one without) in both white and black wood, a beach towel, this pool area, and a free umbrella as a gift to celebrate FaMESHed’s fourth anniversary. All of the fabrics have a ton of different texture choices, which just adds to the awesomeness of the set.

There are also a couple of great accent pieces here from a new gacha set by ChiMia from a machine at this month’s Gacha Garden. The lemonade can bucket and beach bag really add a lot to the scene, I think.

In addition, one of my favorite stores, [ kunst ], has released this great new leather cuff for the event MIX. It’s so incredibly customizable, so it’s sure to fit whatever outfit you put it with. Enjoy this early taste of summer! I know that I will.

Captured

I really love sci-fi and fantasy, so this time of year when Second Life’s Fantasy Faire is open is like heaven for me. There’s not too much science fiction there, but the fantasy elements are incredible, and from a wide range of creators. For this photo, I used the Puzzle Orb (Silver) from !Musa! as an accent piece, along with many pieces from Neurolab to create an alien atmosphere for the photo. The real star of the show, though, is the restraint and pose set from Ama. and Nais, at the event ROMP. They really give this photo so much feeling and emotion.

Sick Day

I was feeling fine when I went to bed last night, but I woke up this morning with a sore throat and congestion. I guess I caught something from the guy I was next to on the plane flying home a few days ago. Lucky for me, Dynasty came out with their “Care Package” gacha set at The Epiphany a couple of days ago. It looks great with the the Stationed in Soho set from Sayo at the same event. Seriously, though, this couldn’t have been better-timed to match what’s going on for me right now in my real life. It’s crazy how things work out like that sometimes!

After the Game

A friend of mine recently held a sportswear-themed event, which had me scrambling to figure out what to wear. I came up with this outfit, which I totally love. I must admit, I have a *bit* of a sportswear fetish, especially for American-style football players. Now that I’m back from my trip, I decided to throw together a locker room set and photograph this outfit. The shoulder pads are no longer available, but after I told the creator (who happens to be a friend of mine) that there really weren’t any good football pads out there, he’s going to put them back on his Marketplace store soon! There is also a much more adult version of this image, which can be seen on my Flickr stream! I’m currently a tropical paradise in Real Life, but when I saw this new shirt at The Men’s Department from Fabulous and Trendy, I knew I had to photograph it in a tropical locale in-world immediately. A Walk in the Woods

I’m headed out of town for about a week and a half so I probably won’t be able to post anything for a bit, but I just heard about this sim and absolutely had to take a photo there before I left. Netherfeild is a stunning sim that has so many places that are perfect for taking photos. While I take a little stroll through the woods, I hope all of you have a good few days! Watching and Waiting For You

I realized recently that it’s been almost 5 years since my last relationship in Second Life. It can definitely be a lonely world if you don’t have anyone to share it with. Originally, this photo had a rather different concept, but I couldn’t find the right pose or get the lighting the way I wanted it, so it ended up like this, on the upper floor front deck of my home, right outside of my bedroom.
